Ledger Vale

Ledger Vale is an editorial WordPress theme for business blogs, independent journals and online magazines. Its homepage brings lead stories, category sections and recent articles together, giving readers several ways to explore your publication.

A homepage built around your articles

Choose a lead story or let WordPress select the latest matching article. Arrange three category sections, switch between editorial, card and list layouts, and use the dark spotlight section to give a topic more attention. Story deduplication helps avoid repeating articles across featured sections.

Make it your publication

Use 67 Customizer controls to adjust colors, typography, content widths, image crops and homepage sections. Add your logo, tagline and social profile links. Configure separate homepage and article sidebars, footer widgets, topic navigation, search and legal links.

Reading features that fit the layout

• Dark mode, estimated reading time and article reading progress.
• Automatic contents panel for articles with multiple section headings.
• Author biographies, related articles and sharing links.
• Native WordPress search, category archives, pagination and comments.
• Mobile navigation with collapsible submenus.

SEO foundations

Ledger Vale supports WordPress page titles, semantic article templates and responsive images. Its optional description fallback is suppressed when supported SEO plugins are detected. Use your SEO plugin for schema, sitemaps and social metadata. Search visibility also depends on your content, links and website configuration; rankings and speed scores are not guaranteed.

Common questions

Can I use the theme without demo content?

Yes. Publish your own articles and select their categories in the Customizer. Demo import is optional.

Does it collect newsletter subscribers?

Add your newsletter provider’s working form to the newsletter widget area. Subscriber storage and email delivery are handled by that provider.

How are updates installed?

Updates use replacement theme ZIPs. Keep custom code in the child theme and follow the support and update terms on your purchase.
